Individuals seeking to file a bankruptcy case under Title 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code generally must receive credit counseling from an approved agency within the 180 days before filing, subject to limited exceptions.
This is a counseling requirement, not a universal pass/fail bankruptcy test. An assessment at this location does not by itself establish compliance. Confirm the approved provider and required certificate with your attorney before scheduling.

Arriving at the Herndon location
The testing office is located in the computer room inside an apartment building at 13325 Fairfield Ridge Road, Herndon, VA 20171. You must obtain the building entry code before arriving. Contact the administrator for the code and entry instructions.
Free parking: The parking lot is located directly across from the building. Park only in this lot. If you park anywhere else, including in front of stores, your vehicle could be towed.
What to bring
Bring your ID, a utility bill, bank statements to discuss with a bankruptcy attorney, and any documents required for your bankruptcy filing. Allow 6–8 hours for your visit.
